Common challenges for a logistics operation

  • Customers calling for shipment status while the support team has to check 3 systems to answer.
  • Drivers and field technicians with no simple way to mark deliveries, report incidents, or request approvals.
  • Route coordination and reassignments handled over the dispatcher's WhatsApp with no traceability.
  • Stockouts or delays detected too late because there are no early alerts.
  • Operations management with no real visibility into on-time deliveries, productivity per driver, or cost per kilometer.

How Pilot solves each one

Pilot connects your tracking system, your CRM, your WhatsApp, and your field team into a single operation. The customer writes 'Where's my order?' on WhatsApp and the AI answers with real status, ETA, a photo of the latest update, and a tracking link — without going through a human.

The field team (drivers, technicians, couriers) has a simple mobile app: view the day's deliveries, open the route in maps, mark 'delivered' with a photo and digital signature, report incidents (customer absent, wrong address, product damage) with a photo. Each action triggers the correct next step.

The dispatcher sees in real time: fleet position, completed deliveries, pending ones, delayed ones. The AI proposes reassignments when a driver falls behind ('if you send Carlos to the west zone, Juan recovers 40 minutes on his route') and you approve with a tap.

Operational approvals (on-route expenses, rebilling for delays, returned goods) travel through Pilot's Approvals module with a full audit log. Fleet broadcasts ('heavy rain in the east zone, drive with caution') are sent en masse over WhatsApp.

Management sees operational KPIs: % of on-time deliveries, productivity per driver, average cost per kilometer, incidents by cause, recipient NPS. Reports ready without asking.

Pilot runs in courier companies, regional distribution, technical services, and logistics operators across LATAM with small and mid-size fleets.

Frequently asked questions

Does it replace Onfleet, Tookan, Bringg, or Beetrack?
Pilot covers the commercial layer (CRM, WhatsApp support, approvals, reports) and the basic field layer (driver app, delivery marking, photos, incidents). For operations with complex routing and real-time optimization, Pilot connects via API to your routing platform and adds the communication and support layer. For small to mid-size operations, Pilot can be the single system.
Does the driver app work without internet?
The mobile app (Pilot Orbit) has an offline mode: the driver can mark deliveries, take photos, and capture signatures without a connection. When signal returns, everything syncs automatically. Useful for rural routes or areas with intermittent coverage.
Does it connect with WMS / TMS / ERP systems?
Yes. Native connectors with ERPs like Odoo and compatibility with WMS/TMS via API or webhook. Orders from the WMS come into Pilot as assignable deliveries, and status updates flow back to the ERP.
Does it handle multiple modes (last mile, full truck, courier)?
Yes. Each mode can have its own flow, SLA, and KPIs. Useful for 3PLs and logistics operators with mixed services.
How much does Pilot cost for a logistics operation?
Pricing is customized based on the number of drivers/technicians, monthly delivery volume, the modules contracted, and operating zones. Contact us for a proposal. There are options from local couriers (10-50 drivers) to regional operators (200+ units).
Does it support recipient digital signature and proof of delivery (POD)?
Yes. Each delivery can capture the recipient's digital signature on screen, a photo of the delivered package, a photo of the ID if applicable, and geolocation with a timestamp. The POD is archived and automatically sent to the customer as confirmation. Useful for dispute resolution and compliance.
