Pilot + PrestaShop: the AI that serves, sells, and restocks your PrestaShop store

Connect your PrestaShop store with Pilot's AI layer. Sync catalog, orders, and customers; let the AI agent serve customers over WhatsApp, qualify the buyer, and close the sale without your team leaving PrestaShop.

What PrestaShop does with Pilot

Pilot is an AI-driven, end-to-end business system, fully turnkey: CRM, sales, ecommerce, communication, billing, and operations are all included. If you also have PrestaShop, Pilot connects your store and orchestrates it with AI; it never asks you to migrate or rebuild your storefront.

PrestaShop is one of the open-source ecommerce platforms with the most penetration in Spain, Mexico, and the rest of LATAM. It's lightweight, modular, and cheap to run, and it leaves all the work of support, acquisition, and after-sales to the human team. When your catalog grows and orders pass 50 a month, that work becomes a bottleneck. Pilot adds the intelligent operations layer on top of PrestaShop, without replacing it.

The integration uses PrestaShop's Webservice API with an API Key generated from the back office. Pilot syncs products, categories, stock, orders, customers, and addresses every 5-10 minutes. The AI operates by reading the real context (a customer asking about a model on WhatsApp, an abandoned cart in webchat, a support email about a shipment) and responds with live PrestaShop data (current stock, current price, order status).

When a new order arrives in PrestaShop, Pilot logs it in the CRM, creates the customer if they didn't exist, and triggers the automatic welcome and after-sales conversation. When an order changes status (prepared, shipped, delivered), the customer receives the notice over WhatsApp without anyone writing the message.

What you can do

  • Two-way sync of products, categories, stock, and prices every 5-10 minutes.
  • Sync of orders, customers, and addresses; each new order creates the customer in the CRM if they didn't exist.
  • AI agent serves customers over WhatsApp and webchat with real PrestaShop stock and price.
  • Automatic customer notifications when an order changes status (prepared, shipped, delivered).
  • Abandoned-cart recovery: the AI agent writes to the customer and proposes completing the purchase.
  • Charge via an integrated payment link (Zelr module) when the customer buys over WhatsApp without going through the web checkout.
  • In-conversation product recommendations based on the real catalog (not hardcoded).
  • Restock alert: when stock drops below the threshold you define, Pilot notifies the owner.
  • Consolidated reporting: sales by channel (web vs. WhatsApp), average ticket, most-asked-about products that didn't sell.

What if I already have AI modules in PrestaShop?

PrestaShop has an addon marketplace with recommendation, chatbot, and email marketing modules. They solve one layer at a time (recommendations inside the site, a chatbot on a single page, basic email triggers). Pilot operates cross-channel: the same AI agent serves customers on WhatsApp, webchat, Instagram, and Messenger with real PrestaShop stock, and everything ends up reflected in your CRM. Compared with Shopify, PrestaShop loses on native automation but wins on license cost and code sovereignty; Pilot fills the AI gap without forcing you to migrate platforms.

How to connect it

  1. In PrestaShop, go to Advanced Parameters > Webservice. Enable the service if it's off.
  2. Create a new API Key with permissions over the resources you want to sync (products, categories, stock_availables, orders, customers, addresses).
  3. Copy the generated Webservice Key and your store URL (e.g. https://mystore.com).
  4. In Pilot, go to Settings > Integrations > PrestaShop and paste both values.
  5. Pilot runs a connection test and shows you how many products and orders it detected.
  6. Choose the sync direction (two-way recommended) and save. The first sync takes between 5 and 20 minutes depending on the catalog size.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with all PrestaShop versions?
Yes, from PrestaShop 1.7 onward. For 1.6 versions there is limited support via the classic Webservice. We recommend PrestaShop 1.7.8 or higher for performance improvements in the API.
Do I need to install a module in PrestaShop?
No. The integration uses the native Webservice API that comes with PrestaShop. You don't install anything in your store; you just generate the API Key and paste it into Pilot.
And if I have a multi-language or multi-shop store?
Supported. Pilot detects the configured languages and the group's shops. You can choose which shops to sync and which languages to use as the source of descriptions for the AI agent.
Does it handle custom PrestaShop modules?
Any resource accessible via the Webservice can be synced. For custom modules that expose their own endpoints, you define the mapping in the config. The most common ones (products, orders, customers, categories) work out of the box.
Is it safe to paste the API Key into Pilot?
Yes. The API Key travels over encrypted channels (TLS) and is stored encrypted at rest. You can revoke it from PrestaShop at any time and the integration stops working. We recommend giving it minimal scopes, only the resources it needs.
And if I cancel Pilot? Do I lose PrestaShop data?
No. PrestaShop stays yours with all its data. Pilot only added the AI layer and cross-channel operation. If you cancel, PrestaShop is left intact.
