Pilot for restaurants: WhatsApp orders, online bookings, and a kitchen without chaos

An AI agent on WhatsApp that takes orders, an online booking system, table management, payment links, and reports for the owner. For restaurants that grow without adding staff just to handle admin.

Common challenges for a restaurant

  • Orders coming in by WhatsApp, Instagram, and Rappi/Uber that no one consolidates.
  • Bookings written in a notebook and then forgotten or duplicated.
  • A kitchen that doesn't know how many orders are coming because the till doesn't tell it.
  • Tips and per-person bill splits done by hand and full of errors.
  • An owner with no real visibility into margin per dish, top sellers of the month, or inventory cost.

How Pilot solves each one

Pilot connects your WhatsApp Business with an AI agent that takes orders. The customer writes '2 burgers and 1 beer for pickup at 8'; the AI confirms against the real menu, calculates the total, sends a payment link (Zelr), and notifies the kitchen when the payment clears.

For bookings, you generate a public link (OpenTable style) that respects table capacity, minimum lead time, and your hours. Customers book on their own and get a reminder 2h before with the option to confirm or cancel.

The table system (POS) shows servers which tables are occupied, which orders are in the kitchen, and what has been delivered. At table close, an automatic per-person split with a suggested tip and an individual or consolidated payment link.

The owner sees the daily pulse in Pilot: sales by channel (dine-in, delivery, takeaway), top dishes, average ticket, margin by category — without asking the accountant for a report.

Pilot runs in restaurants with dine-in, takeaway, and delivery service across LATAM.

Frequently asked questions

Does it replace Toast, Loyverse, or Lightspeed?
Pilot covers the commercial flow (orders, bookings, payments, reports) but isn't a hardware POS (it doesn't handle kitchen printers, cash drawers, or connected scales). For restaurants already running Toast/Loyverse well with hardware, Pilot connects via API and adds the AI + WhatsApp layer. For restaurants just starting out or looking to simplify, Pilot can be the single system.
Does it work with delivery via Rappi/Uber Eats/PedidosYa?
Yes. Connection with Rappi and Uber Eats via the official API. For PedidosYa and other local platforms, via integration with their admin panel. Orders come into Pilot alongside WhatsApp/dine-in ones, all consolidated.
Does the WhatsApp AI serve customers like a human?
For routine orders (daily menu, payments, pickups), yes — the AI closes the order without intervention. For special cases (allergies, complex modifications, complaints), it escalates to a human on the team. Each customer is recorded with their history.
Does it handle multiple locations / branches?
Multi-branch is native. Each location has its own menu (which can differ), its own prices (which can differ), and its own WhatsApp. The owner sees the consolidated view or per branch. Useful for small to mid-size chains (2-15 locations).
Does it charge tips and split the bill per person?
Yes. Per-person split with a configurable tip (10% suggested in CR, adjustable). Each person can receive an individual payment link over WhatsApp if you want, or a consolidated charge to the organizer's bill.
